Utö and Surrounding Islands

The extraordinary Utö and its neighbouring islands are far from mainland Finland. But while the journey may take time, it is worth every effort. Here, the sea is vast, the horizon is endless, and the landscape thrives with diversity. Part of the Archipelago National Park, the largest of Finland’s four sea national parks, these outer islands are home to a magnificent variety of plants and wildlife. The majestic white-tailed eagle, the rare Baltic ringed seal, and dozens of other species have all been sighted here. There are ferry connections to Utö and Jurmo, for example, where you will find a wide range of facilities and services available.
