The islands of Hjälmö and Lådna are unique and unexploited parts of the central archipelago. Both islansds have small scale agricultural farms and pastures that are kept well managed by the workers and farm animals at the Archipelago Foundation.

Västergården farm at Hjälmö still looks almost as it did a hundred years ago. Here you can enjoy the blooming pastures early in the summer, take a stroll along the children’s nature path or visit the farm.

Lådna is an active island with a shop, a gas station and regular boat traffic year-round. Oppgården farm on the island is from the 19th century, with an active small scale archipelago agricultural farm.

Träskö-Storö is a part of Hjälmö-Lådna nature reserve. Here you will find a protected bay that is a perfect natural harbour for private boats. Right next to Träskö-Storö is Stora Kalholmen with a lovely hostel - a red large villa, built in 1914.

Regarding the nature reserve

Hjälmö-Lådna is a nature reserve managed by the Archipelago Foundation.
