Möja

Möja is a classic archipelago island far out in the outermost central archipelago. It is a genuine archipelago community with relatively few inhabitants.

During the summer the guest harbour at Kyrkviken is full of visiting boats and many summer guests and tourists arrive and depart with the archipelago boats on one of the jetties. Here, you can rent a bike and let one of the islands pebble paths lead you to discover museums, the church, rocky shores, sandy beaches, and lakes. Or go hiking along one of the trails that run by outcrops, knotty old trees and giant’s cauldrons. The island has a guest house, hostels, and several restaurants, so you can stay here for a couple of days. And if you are lucky, you can catch an outdoor movie show or a concert during the summer.

Regarding the nature reserves

Parts of Möja are nature reserves managed by the Archipelago Foundation.

You can read all about the rules for nature reserves at the County Administrative Board.
