Nämdö is one of the bigger islands in the archipelago and you can get here by archipelago boat year-round. It is an active archipelago community with several villages, a church, agriculture, a convenience store, a local community centre, and a museum.

The whole island has great opportunities for walking or biking along pebble paths that connect the villages and jetties. The nature surroundings are varied, with an abundant animal and bird life. Along the coast there are shallow bays, cliff beaches and natural harbours for those that come by private boat. Nämdö has a farm shop, a café, tourist information, a guest jetty, and places to set up a tent. Nämdö Solvik offers accommodation in glamping tents and has a bistro with a champagne bar!

Regarding the nature reserve

Nämdö is a nature reserve managed by the Archipelago Foundation.

You can read all about the rules for nature reserves at the County Administrative Board.
