The island Kyrkogårdsön is in Furusundsleden waterway, west of the island of Siarö. Siaröfortet was built here during the first world war to defend Sweden against attacks from the east.

Today, large parts of the fort have been restored to its original state and it is now a popular museum. Besides the fort there are many other things to enjoy at Kyrkogårdsön. There are several places to take a dip in the sea either from cliffs or at small beaches. Kyrkogårdsön has a boarding house with a café and restaurant, and if you come here by private boat there is a guest harbour.
