Idö

Idö is located south of Arholma in Stockholm’s northern archipelago. Grazing animals from the neighbouring island keep the vegetation short and tidy in meadows and pastures.

At Idö, you can hike along the trails that lead you through the landscape, or enjoy the abundant and active animal and nature life on the island. If you want to stay overnight, there are many areas where you can set up your tent, and Idöfladen on the left side of the island has a popular natural harbour.

Regarding the nature reserve

Idö is a part of Arholma-Idö nature reserve managed by the Archipelago Foundation. You can read all about the rules for nature reserves at the County Administrative Board.
