Jungfruskär is a beautiful and scenic island outside of Nämdö. It is mostly visited by boaters that come here to stay at one of the many lovely natural harbours.

The island has one of the archipelago’s largest natural harbours - Grönskärsfladen – with facilities such as an information shed and potable water. From the northern bay at Jungfruskär, runs a marked nature trail of about three kilometres that takes you to beach meadows and viewpoints, and a few quiz points where you can test your knowledge about Swedish nature!

Regarding the nature reserve

Jungfruskär is a nature reserve managed by the Archipelago Foundation.

You can read all about the rules for nature reserves at the County Administrative Board.
